Choc Chip Cookie
These chocolate chip cookies are buttery and sweet, with a perfect balance of soft and crisp textures. The chocolate chunks create rich, melty pockets of flavour that make each bite utterly satisfying.
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt together until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla.
Add Eggs: Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure to mix well after each addition.
Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop and Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
Cool and Enjoy: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
