Classic Sugar Cookie

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar

  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup white sugar for decoration


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until smooth.
