Vanilla Cake

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup whole milk
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool: Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Frost: Once cooled, frost the cake with your choice of frosting and enjoy!
