Vanilla Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup whole milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  6. Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. Cool: Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
